I do therapy because we exist. Our experience defines the world as we see it. My job as a therapist is to help sort out our existence in your own personal world.
I grew up in Norwalk CA and the surrounding cities. This area is diverse and mostly low-income. Despite growing up almost as poor as my neighbors, the privilege was not unaccounted for. This meant standing with my friends and adoptive families. I lifted up their voices next to mine. We aimed to live equitably, not just equally.
Standing up to those who perpetuated white privilege started at a young age. It became part of my pride for the immigrant and BIPOC community. Getting to college gave me the knowledge and fervor. Minoring in philosophy showed me how truly deep down the drive for equity runs in me. Finally, I reached the place where I can uplift this community in therapy. It gave me the joy to see how far our work can go.
Today I work with people who straddle their many worlds. Feeling like “too much” or “not enough” are sentiments that I hear regularly. I’ve now worked with the community of sex workers, polyamory, non-binary folx, and cultures of all kinds.
I’m skilled in treating:
- anxiety
- depression
- Bi-Polar II
- Identity Concerns
- Neurodivergence
- Loneliness
- Prolonged Grief
- Trauma
- Racialized Trauma
I am employed by Psychotherapist Coach and supervised by Lynndal Daniels LMFT #78183. If you share some of my story or feel like I can help schedule a consultation with me. I do full hour consults for free.
